Where are these parts from ?
« on: May 08, 2023, 17:57:45 »
Well.... i am reassembling all the dashboard  instruments after refurbishing the heater core  ::) and found on my bench some parts in separate bags...and  some of them i don't know where they go !
N° 1 in the photo seems to be a plug for the radio or antenna but the radio is all connected ! it is stamped BERU 1K
N° 2 and 3 are small finger nuts but from what device?  not the clock because the nuts are already fitted ,
N°4  is a 10 mm nut , 3 mm thick found on the floor while refitting the dash....!
your help will be appreciated....!
Thank's in advance

Hi there, I think No3 is a curb nut holding the instruments in the dash, not sure of the others though.

And of course those parts were removed from you I guess…
I mean it wasn’t left somewhere under the dash as sometimes you could find abandoned or disconnected stuffs

For having done the same job I couldn’t find a clue where go your parts…
Good luck 👍

Hello Yves, number 1 is a spark plug lead connector at the distributor
2&3 look like the knurled nuts that hold the brackets for the tach, speedo and instrument cluster, i don't know if these are all the same size, you may have to have a fiddle with them
No idea about number 4

Have a look on here

Just a thought, aren't the chrome dash pieces around the vent levers held on with 10mm nuts?
