Paint Stick for 670 light ivory

My 1970 280SL has main body color of 670 light ivory. I need to touch up some chips. Paint stick no longer available from MB Classic. I would appreciate recommendations on who makes a good substitute.

Most of the paint shops can mix the color, based on the above information. There are also companies that will make you a "rattle can" with your paint.

Not speaking for Rodd, but his reply included names of two well known manufacturers of touch up paint, along with website links. Yes, that's more words but also far more useful for people who don't know.

I can add one to that list, and that's Automotive Touchup. https://www.automotivetouchup.com They have touchup paint in "stick form" and also in spray cans.

Lol, if I read his question correctly, he is looking for a recommendation for a MB substitute paint stick or can that someone has experience with and can recommend. I don't, but neither do the two of you from what it looks like. If you feel googling paintstick and posting some links is what he is looking for, I stand corrected.

I’ve used Automotive Touchup and Dr. Color Chip.

Color was a good match. However not enamored of the paint chip repair process. They make it look easy and it’s not. They seem to have you believe that the results will be invisible and they will not be. The more you work the paint and the chip, the more visible the repair becomes. My experience was that the more you try to make it invisible, the more visible you make it!

I had results about the same with a tiny sable artist’s paint brush and a small amount of leftover paint. Keep daubing on little bits of paint until you’re satisfied and let it be.

Many people (I run into this all the time) seeming struggle with internet searches thus a link is always helpful. I’ve also had people provide me what they think are the names of companies, then I go searching for them and draw a blank. I go back to the source and find out that they had the name wrong… or something similar.

Interesting thing about Dr. Color Chip. Some time ago, the owner/founder Dan McCool must have had a falling out with his partner(s) as he was no longer associated with them and had started a competitive company. He seems to be back with the original Dr Color Chip.

Thanks for replies. Automotive Touch up doesn't offer this color. I have a small hood section that meefd some coverage, as well as pinprick on the front end.
