can we still get key blanksfrom MB?

anyone got the part # for the master key on a late 280sl?

Cannot find key number for chassis # > 012689.

A tumbler 000 462 6630 is listed for the later chassis. I believe thats a barrel with keys but best to check with a dealer.

I bought one from the dealer last year.  I gave him the VIN and a couple of days later I got a new key which looks just like the original.  The cost was about $30.

I had great results from:

sales@keys4classics.com

Stuart is an expert on Mercedes, he sent me keys cut from code on the proper key stock for my 230sl, I believe he can do the same for other years/models.  Two keys cost me $20, delivered.
