Have been giving thought to a repaint .
With no rust or visible bodywork required, was wondering if a wrap could be an option ( No Crazy Colors ) . And if wraps are available in OE colors . 
Given the simplicity of the dash, this could be easily accomplished .

Life expectancy is 5 years. I don't know of a Pagoda ever being done, but I would imagine cost would be $4-5k. You then have to ask yourself, how much more would a proper paint job cost? And how much longer would the paint job last?

For investment purposes a bad idea. If you try to sell it, it just looks like you are hiding something.

For fun, an excellent idea. Why not take a new colour for a test drive, or the same colour just freshened up and protects your paint from more damage, stone chips etc.

Do it and send us some photos. You could start a trend!

Have been wondering how hard that wrap is to remove at a later date? Does it destroy the paint underneath?

Wraps are pretty common on newer cars. You see a lot of that at car shows nowadays. If you wrap old paint it will be more likely that the paint will be damaged when the wrap is removed.

Yes, I had mine totally wrapped. You may remember this pic from Pagoda World, Issue 31. I bought my long-awaited dream car in summer of 2021. It had been driven very little since treated to a first-class paint job in the 90's. In 2022 I was about to drive it from Virginia to Iowa and back and didn't want to be the one to compromise the paint. Admittedly, I overdid it by having the entire car wrapped (and then ceramic coated!), but I'm glad I did for the peace of mind. Also drove it from Virginia to Chicago for PagodaFest in 2023 (where I showed off the wrap to several fellow club members). The wrap, applied by a highly-recommended detailer and his subcontractor, has performed perfectly so far. The wrap is by X-Pel. Cost for thorough detailing of paint, wheel wells and engine bay, wrap and ceramic coating was $11,450. I'm told you only live once.

I saw a beautiful color on a Tesla at the post office yesterday and complemented on the color to the driver. She said it was wrapped, and she's not sure what she's going to do next, because after 2 years it's already peeling at the edges.

I think wrapping some small chrome parts in chrome wrap like the metal trim on the sides of these cars is worth a try. (the ones below the chrome ones with the rubber strips. THe have an anodized finish but I would think low sheen chrome wrap might work.
