Thermostat Brand
« on: July 28, 2005, 16:09:11 »
Planning to replace my thermostat but noticed that there are different brands and different prices. Like to know if there is any difference.

Thermostat Kit brands: Wahler; Behr(cheaper)
Thermostat Housing Gasket brands: Reiz; Elring(cheaper)

I live in the East Bay with temp ranging from 40F in the winter to 100F in the summer. I am planning to go with the 79C thermostat. Like to hear what others use.

Behr was the OEM radiator, probably not a bad choice for the thermostat...

Louis

The genuine MB 79C thermostat I bought recently was a Wahler.
The MB housing to head gasket was $3.50
