I have a strange sound coming from the front when I drive the car, if I disengage and roll the noise goes away, so it only happens while driving in gear. It's a metallic sound like a fan catching somewhere and the intense increase with speed. I imagine it could be something with the clutch pressure plate.
It occurred after the first longer drive I've ever done since I bought the car, round trip it was 280km and the sound started to occur after about 240km and it sounded more afterwards.
I have been under the car and looked felt, pinched and mechanically visually everything is as it should be. I have a 5-speed Getrag 265/6 fitted but I haven't touched either the clutch or pressure plate or release bearing as these appeared to be in good condition.
So if anyone here in the group can give a hint as to what it could be or confirm what I fear it would be greatly appreciated.
