Pagoda Ad

I do not know how many of you visit other Pagoda Club websites.
I frequently visit the German Pagodetreff site, since I speak the language (helps)
Look what I found there...

Compared to modern ads quite a pleasure to watch IMO.
The ad is 14 min. long (not to worry it is in English)  and the driver looks like my college professor did.

The college professor lookalike is a (at the time) famous F1 and Touring pro driver, Karl Kling.  In the sixties he became Stable manager for M-B rally efforts

another great video, there are so many!, couple of things I noticed were something at 3 mins 55s, below the bumper looked like a valance/spoiler of some kind?, also the round horn ring.

Indeed, lots of small details about the car are different. But one other thing I noticed was the mention of "Pagoda-like roof" when they were talking about the sight lines and ingress/egress. I take it this ad was done in late 1962??

On this site, there has been much discussion of MB luggage for the SL.  The video shows lots of info about the luggage that would facilitate reproduction.  I never noticed it before.
