Photo of earlier and later hubcaps

I need good photographs comparing the differences between the earlier and later style hubcaps (see http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=WheelsTires.Start) for our Technical Manual. If someone has good photographs, please upload them here. If you have pictures showing the different ways that hubcaps are attached to the rims, please let me have them too.

Regarding the "later" wheel covers.

There is an early-late wheel cover made of chrome plated steel, and a later-late wheel cover (current production) made of polished stainless.  As astute observer can tell the difference because polished stainless, no matter how well polished, has a different color than chrome.  Then, of course, if the OEM steel wheel cover has been in any kind of use, there is probably rust on the back of it.

I know of two different kinds of clips to hold them onto the wheel.  The first is a plain, zinc-chromate plated steel; the second is identical but it has these little plastic bumpers on them to protect the wheel's finish.

I have pix of the later style covers, and both kinds of clips, too.  I don't know if I have the chrome-steel covers any longer.

So many thanks for working on this Manual which could be a great great help for all of us. Put in it as many pictures as you can as it is the best understandable tool for dummies like me.

Pascal,

exactly... thanks! Could you mail me (admin@sl113.org) the larger files ? If you could take/send a picture of the wheels without the hubcap,  so that we can show how the hubcap attaches to the rim, (or the rear of the hubcap) even better!
