Pagoda 4-seater !?
« on: September 15, 2005, 14:10:16 »
A 4-seat pagoda just sold on eBay for Euro10,049 (about $12,300). What do you think, did the  4 seats raise or  lower the price? And what about this "super rare " [and IMO uselss] 4-seat option?

How would we count the (mis) ways on this one. But while not a usual site, the coupe version is not unknown, but usually with a storage area and not seats in the back. We see it refered to as a "California" coupe, where, I guess, it is more likely to have seen a car that the top could be removed and not have a convertible top as a back up.

I have a 1968 Coupe.  Begining n 1967, I believe, was the "2+2" style popularized by the Ford Mustang.  Mercedes then offered the Coupe with a folding rear bench seat.  It is great if your passengers are double amputees.  With the front seats all the way back, there is zero leg room.  But, my dog likes it just fine.

It's true that, living in Florida, you have to be a good meterologist and pretty brave to venture far from home with no top.

I think that the lack of the top hurts price a bit, but it is still such a great car and with the roof on, it parades the unique characteristic that gives the model its name.

Living in Florida...  I always check with weather.com before venturing off.  We haven't had a drop of rain here lately but those darn love bugs are back once more!
