Decifering colors
« on: September 25, 2005, 18:54:16 »
My car is still the original paint White Ivory paint code 670. The interior seems very unique. Its a light green tex trim. According to the original Mercedes SL guide written by Laurence Meredith color data they show a tex trim #124 green(2712) and leather #224 light olive(653). It shows that White Ivory 670 and 124 green tex trim were not availible, however 670 and 224 Light Olive leather were availible.
Was there a light olive tex trim availible?

Although the company had a list of recommended outside-inside color combinations in its literature, which has been reproduced by Meredith, Engelen et al., any combination from all available colors could be ordered by a customer.
For 230/250 SL, in MB Tex besides 124 (2712)green also 112 (2200) turqoise (kind of light green)was available. In leather, besides 224 (653), 211 (1073) dark green, 212 (1078) reseda green and 217 (1101) turqoise were also available.

True, as my color combo is not listed anywhere that I've seen, other than my data card.
