Upper Control Arm Bumpers
« on: October 05, 2005, 18:16:47 »
As part of my front suspension work, tonight I replaced the 4 upper control arm bumpers.  There are 2 on each side for a total of 4 on the car.  They sit under the upper control arms when you raise them up.

Refer to attached picture.  You can see that my old ones were totally flat and in pieces, just hanging on.  With these new bumpers installed, the control arm actually sits higher in the wheel well.

I wont know the total impact of this change until Friday when my new spring pads arrive.  Will get them installed this weekend and post the before and after measurements.

Those bumpers should have no effect on ride height or geometry.  They just stop the upper control arm from bottoming on the crossmember when the front suspension is fully extended.
