lowering car without spring

Is it possible to lower your car onto the ground missing one rear spring, without having the wheel completely collapse in the wheel well?

I am waiting on some parts before i can put in the new springs but need to get the car turned around in my garage so i can get access to the other side in the mean time (Narrow garage).

If anyone knows maybe i could rule this option in/out.

Thanks
Kay

Hello Kay,
Some wood blocking, where the spring once rested should work enough to move the car. Ask me how I know? I own an old air suspension 6.3 Mercedes!

Thanks Joe,
I may try that , however the suspension pivot on which the spring rests is not connected to the base plate (which has been removed) on the floor board.
I will lower the car slowly and see what happens[:p]

You do not want to be trying to turn that car aroud with the control arm dis-mounted . You could rip that hanger right out of the trunk. What JA is saying is that you can fill the spacing of the removed spring to keep the car up , but you certainly want the arm mounted....
