Group 35, part 131
« on: October 11, 2005, 17:44:28 »
Can anyone help me with this?  I know what the part is (group 35, part 131) but I don't know what the bracket/arm is for.  This picture is from the 230SL parts book but the 250 an 280 parts book shows the same part without the bracket.   What does it do/hold?

That is a carry over for the mount of the switch used by the hydro clutch cars . They used that as a the  ground sensor for the decelleration torque sensor of the differential. These  used the torque movement of the mount on it's lontitudal axis to differentiate decel/excell attitudes by the hanger angle change due to torque.
