Bob,
You ask about the fuel flow rate "from the injector". I'm not sure what you're trying to measure here. The typical fuel flow rate I hear people describing is this:
- Clamp flexible fuel line that is returnnig from engine bay to fuel tank.
- Remove line from tank and put end into a container.
- Turn ignition to "1" so the electical fuel pump runs but the engine does not start.
- Let it run for 15 seconds.
- Measure fuel in container.
- Attach line back to tank.
- Test for fuel leaks.
OK class, how much fuel should flow in 15 second?
Also, Bob, you asked about the cold start valve. There's a allen bolt on the side that should allow fuel to come out at the time it would normally be going into the intake manifold. You'll probably have to have someone else start the car to see if this is working. If it doesn't give up any fuel, then you need to figure out if it's an electrical or physical problem.
