She's been running great!  Then the other day took a drive and she started missing under acceleration.  If I backed of a bit and didn't push it she was smooth.  Two days later much worse, missing constantly.  Checked plugs, they all look fine.  Pulled #1 wire, no change so I'm assumeing it's #1.  I'm Getting spark, dwell @ 30, getting fuel to injector.  How much fuel should come out of injector feed while cranking? I'm getting small squirts but doesn't look like much pressure.  Pulled and utrasonicly cleaned injector in laquer thinner and cleared with compressed air.  Some fuel coming out while cranking, though not a mist that I can see.

Bad injector???  Whats next to check?

Hi Jim,

It’s always worth changing the plugs even if they are fairly new. I had a lot of problems with misfiring which was always cured by new plugs. After much research and trial and error I found NGK BP6ES lasted the best. The current set have now been in 9 months and 5 thousand miles, much better than Bosch ones which didn’t seem to last very long at all. I assume it must be something to do with modern fuels.

Try swithcing the #1 & #2 spark plug wires (at both ends) and see if the miss moves to the other cylinder If yes there it is most likely a bad resistor end.

My problem was with the spark plug wires once; they were only a few years old, yet malfunctioned which led to stuttering / missing etc. (the second time these symptoms occurred a few years later it was the ... spark plugs. Changed to new ones, problems all gone).

Jim,
  Bad injectors can cause huge damage. If the fuel is not sprayed properly it will not burn properly and it can thin your oil. This can lead to damaged rings. Even if this is not the cause of your problem, have your injectors checked. I got scared and replaced all of my injectors to avoid any troubles.

Replaced #1 wire and runs fine.  The wires were not that old either???
