I'm sorry...

in the recent move to a new database server I forgot to update some of the security settings accurately... I hope I have now fixed this for you all.

I'm sorry for this mistake. Please go back to your post, edit your message, and Attach the image.

I have not been able to access the site for two days.  Today I able to get into the site but am not able to view any of the pictures being posted.  I just get a very strange window with several ghosts of boxes overlaying each other in the window with "X" in the center of each ghost box.  This even applies to previous posts from which I was able to view photos last week before the server migration.  Also, can't view TheEngineer's rotating signature Star in the post just below (just an "X").  Any thoughts?

As Theengineers post indicated image display did work on the 14th.

On the 16th however our old site disappeared. Apparently the uploads between the 10th (when I migrated to the old site) and the 16th were overwritten by a restore of a backup of the old-site performed by our helpful site hosters... which actually had the opposite effect of what I wanted since I had synchronised the two sites and -- if you all remember -- prevented uploads to the old site until the new site was operational.

I just tried uploading a file and here is the result...

So everyone who has uploaded a picture in the last week or so should check their post. If the picture is not there anymore please act as follows:

  • edit your post by pressing the button
  • delete the reference to the old picture
  • then re-attach an image at that spot by uploading that same picture again by pressing on the paperclip icon

That works. And the in-line images did not work either because the images are missing... so please upload these as well and update your signature yet again, theengineer. Sorry for your troubles.

You're welcome.

The picture was taken on Col del Larche, 1991m high, during the Wintertrial 2004. See http://www.cyclos-cyclotes.org/col_larche.html for details. It links France (Barcelonette) to Italy (Vinadio), and normally is closed from November to April. This year it was open from February onwards, which was rather special, but we took it because another pass was closed.
