Erick,
our member Detlef "Zwoachtzigsl" lives near Frankfurt, he may have some hints.
I am more a specialist for the nearby city of Aschaffenburg, an about 20 minute car ride from the Frankfurt Airport. There you should visit the Rosso-Bianco sports car museum, especially since it also has a section about Vespas, Lambrettas and the like. See
www.rosso-bianco.de/html/museum.htmlThe site gives descriptions with address and how to get there.
Also in Aschaffenburg is the Petri factory, the home of your steering wheel. Don't know if they allow tours; they now produce probably about half of all steering wheels for MB. A few years ago Petri was sold to a Japanese company.
Very close to the Petri factory is an upholstery shop who's owner, Andrea, specializes on W113 interiors and is an active member of the German "Pagodentreff" website. Would be a good possibility to discuss interior restoration, reconditioning and maintenance if you have any need for that at this time.
