Hey John. What you are experiencing is not really uncommon. Anytime one buys a car as old as ours, there are going to be issues to be worked out. (sadly, that may be why it was for sale in the first place...) Then -- there are going to be ongoing costs to keep things in order. This depends on the level you are striving for. Except for a few very fortunate owners, the intial purchase is just a buy-in cost -- there will always be more expenses down the road -- the trick is to enjoy the car along the way. That's the advice I'd reinforce. Stay the course and you'll be pleased you did.
