German or European Parts Dealers ?
« on: February 25, 2003, 21:19:59 »
I have been trying to locate trim parts for my Euro 280sl, such as the "automatic" emblem and some aluminum trim that is not available in the U.S.. I have tried Van Dijk and SLS, both of whom do not return emails. Does anyone have a sorce for parts in Europe that will ship to the US ?

For what it's worth, I sent a message to Mr. Van Dijk last week, and received a reply in a few hours.  We've exchanged several emails since then, and I've just ordered a hard-to-get part from him.  (Of course, he did have the part I needed.)  Just another experience.

Try Star Quality, which I'm sure is in this site's list of parts sources.

I have used SLS no problems and recieved stuff from both DB Depot and Neimoller. I am based in Ireland and te goods arrived promptly !

I now use an Italian firm called Socrim who give great prices and service and the freight costs are very reasonable.
Contact  lucameroni@socrim.com, their website www.starwagen.com is still under construction.

Others are

www.neimoller.de   (they will send a very good parts book)
www.sls-hh.de  (Excellent on-line website with prices)
www.dbdepot.de
