vaccum advance problem

Hello all

I currently have my truck running with the choke at WOT and the vaccum advance plugged. I'm just not getting it I suppose. But I plug my vaccum advance and set the timeing at 8 and runs good than as soon as I connect the adv vac the engine stalls or runs retarted (like myself right now). Thanks for any advice giving.
