Import Number
« on: August 08, 2006, 07:05:17 »
I was recently showing my '70 280SL at a local car show and was asked by one of the judges if I knew the Import Number of the Pagota.  Can someone tell me if this is important and, if so, where I might obtain this documentation?  I have just recently purchased our car and we are  new at the game.

Can't say I have heard of it either. However, since you are newly bethrothed (to the Pagoda), I recommend you obtain the data card for your car, if you haven't already. It has important stuff on it -- and I am sure you can impress the judges next time by telling them things like the build date, production number, where it was delivered in the world, etc...

Could this be a bizarre term for the VIN?
