Hi Smoretti,
Welcome to the group, and congratulations for your nice Pagoda! It looks very nice: with the "italian" side indicators, Michelin MXV-P tires in the original size 185 HR14 (aren't they?)...
Do you have a wind screen there? (it's not clear in the picture). If so, do you feel a big difference driving with/without that screen?

Yes, I have Michelin MXV-P tires in original size, but I don't think they will last for many km more; I know Michelin re-started production of this size but they are quite expensive (>250
), I found less noble alternative with Nankang N809K at about 60
, did anyone try their quality?
I bought the wind screen last year and it makes a big difference especially if you drive for long distances: I definitely suggest it.
I will take part to SL day (www.sl-day.de) on August 17th in Speyer Germany, do you know if any member of this forum will be there?

Hi Stefano,
That Michelin tires costs in Spain 184.50 Euros + taxes (16%), and the Spanish importer gives a discount (10%) for members of classic car clubs -as this one-. So they should have a similar price -an discount?- in Italy (the distance from France is similar!). The Spanish importer says that the Italian importer is:

So you can check there. It's not inexpensive, but it's a high quality tire, with the original size and speed rating (HR = up to 210 km/h), classic look, and the raised curb line... If you consider -depending on how many km per year you drive your car- the time that you will have these tires on your Pagoda... maybe it's worth it.
I will consider the wind screen, although I don't like the look of the car with it. It's a modern accessory in a classic car... if I buy one, it will be stored in the trunk except during long highway routes.
I think there are more members of our Group that also will take part to SL day... not me   ... I guess all of you could meet there. I'm sure you will enjoy a lot (for instance: the Sinsheim Museum is really amazing!).

Is the tire available in whitewall? Maybe on the other side ?? For some reason I think w/w looks better on a silver car.

Hello "San Diego",
These MXV-P were in the standard range of Michelin during many years, and I think they were available in whitewall. Some years ago, Michelin ended the production. Now, Michelin makes again this tire inside the Classic range, but I think it's not available in whitewall (unless you glue it a whitewall kit). On the other side of the tire the difference is that there's no raised curb line. Anyway you could ask this to the USA importer of the Michelin Classic range (info from the Spanish importer):

Welcome to the group.  You have a lovely car; have you owned it long?
What part of Italy are you in?  (My wife and I will be in Roma, Firenze, and in-between in late August and early September.)  There is a good 113 parts supplier called Socrim in Milano; have you dealt with them?
