Low miles and unrestored. That's extremely impressive. Unlike the metallics, tobacco brown must be a pretty durable color. I know of a couple of tobacco brown cars that are still in their original paint. Seems like a very legit car.

It is an interesting car. The photos of the odometer confuse me; can anyone elaborate on that? What are those extra numbers doing on there? Also, if the documentation is legit it appears the car has traveled only 1400 miles in the last 14 years (see very last photo). If all is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, seems like one of those really rare finds.

Wonder what he'll ask for it?

In my brief read through of the items, the seller mentioned that the taped labels were the reminders his father used to know when next to service the car.

Now THAT'S what I call an unmolested car.  Too bad (for the owner)the car has hardly been used!

Well guys, the owner of this car is a woman and it's me!! Yes, it is legit and I have posted more pictures on the website. Because of the rarity of this model in this condition the interest seems to be in Europe and the Middle East. Wish someone in the States were seriously interested. Thanks for your interest....

It's hard to know how seriously interested anyone of us might be without an indication of your asking price. We've seen the photos, read the description, what's your asking price?

Ken.
Sorry to hear about your father and your lost. You have a magnifence automobile to remine you of better times. How come you want to sell such a great car? I did have a question have you contacted John Olson from the SL market letter? perhaps putting an add in his newsletter will generate the real enthusist entrest from an M-100 buyer.(612) 377-0155
Also what was the hammer in the tool kit for? It just seems odd.

Good luck

Thank you for your compliments on my dad's vehicle. I have not set a price on this unique car, but MB in Germany and several "experts" in the field have said to only entertain offers made at $75,000+  I have someone who is going to the Techno Klassica in Germany next week and he is armed with photographs and info. Hopefully, this will yield information that indicates the market for a one of a kind...one in the world car of this caliber. Thanks so much....Debra

It would be a great car to display at the new Mercedes Classic Center set to open for business this summer in Irvine, California.  Maybe our friend Tom Hanson can explore that possibility.

I ran across this Ebay listing which reminded me of this old thread...
