throttle switch, manual transmission
« on: September 26, 2008, 18:28:24 »

Hi, I'm putting together my first 230SL, 1966, manual trans, and it is full mysteries, as the engine was out of the car when I purchased it last month.

I was wondering if a manual trans is to have a throttle switch on the intake manifold.  Mine has, but it is a replacement intake, so maybe that replacement came with the switch.  The switch is broken in half.  Regardless, I see no connection in the harness for the switch, and since no automatic means no solenoid to control, maybe no switch is needed.

Did the stock intake maniold come with a switch for an manual trans?  Or was the hole sealed off?

Thanks, Ron
