Values : Octane Magazine
« on: October 26, 2006, 13:59:59 »
Octane (December?)have done an article on cars that have appreciated most in recent years....

1) 1999 £150k, now £400k - Ferrari 275 GTB/4
2) 1996 £50,000, now £200,000+ - Aston DB5
3) 2005 £80,000, now £140,000 - Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (daytona)
4) 2004 £72,000, now £160,000 - Muira
5) 2003 $20,000+, now $50 - 300,000+ - "woodies"
6) 1999 £65,000, now £200,000 - Shelby cobra
7) 2003 £100,000, now £300,000+ - MB 300SL (NOT the 107 or 129 chassis!)
8) 2004 £25,000, now £50,000 - porsche 911S
9) 2000 £30,000, now £90,000 - Lancia Stratos
10) 2002 £11,000, now £17,000 - Ford Escort Mk1 (Rs2000/Mexico/AVO cars)

I really wish I could understand the price change of some of these....  oddly enough, there's only one of these cars I'd really like to own for non-financial reasons (#8)!

"why don't they cost more?"
