Recently bought a rear, top bushing/mount for the differential on my 70 280SL. The mount is rectangular in that it will only install one way - the bolts don't line up the other. When putting it in, I compared it to the old bushing and noticed that the "relief" in the bushing - where the rubber is not solid - is on the opposite side than it was on the old mount. On the old mount, the "relief" was front and back, on the new one it is side to side. Has anyone ever seen this before? The part is German made with the part number on it - 110 350 06 75. I put it in, but I'm wondering if it will fail early or cause other problems.... any thoughts?
photo is old mount
thanks.
