dash lights

Was putting the 280 to sleep for the winter,  filled the tank put in the stabil, blew out the carbon, overfilled the tires and put on the cover.  Of course when i'm driving its dark and I notice that the tach light works, gauge lights work but speedo light is out.  Had some dash trim work done last spring and ever really drove at night till yesterday.  How big a job to get it working??

Dash lights are fed from the same circuit.  There are two bulbs in the rear of the speedo.  Here are the possibilities:

1)ground wire came loose
2)power feed wire came loose
3)both bulbs failed

To address any of these possibilities is a bear of a job.  Tach needs to come out, center gauge needs to be carefully moved towards the driver and the speedo needs to most likely be removed so you can see the rear side lamp connections clearly.  Reconnecting the wire or changing bulbs is simple.  The challenge is getting to the area on the rear of the speedo.
