Hi guys

Can anyone recommend a nice looking and good quality stainless steel trunk rack? I am driving to Italy and could do with some extra storage space onto which I will strap a suitcase.. Thanks a lot.

Are you driving with the hardtop on or off?

Years ago I had one for our Triumph Stag for just that reason.  It had suction cups and straps with rubber coated clips to hold it on.  My only worry would be if the rack would dent the aluminium trunk.  I just saw on the Hyman site out of St Louis a 280SL with a trunk rack permontly mounted.

Here's an interesting trunk-mounted chrome luggage rack on a 300SL Roadster. It uses rubber feet and clips onto the edges of the lid. I've always thought it would be fun to have a similar setup on a Pagoda:

This is supposedly a factory one-off part, but I'd think it would be easy to fabricate something similar for a Pagoda.
