Fuel filter part nr.
« on: August 17, 2003, 12:50:29 »
Does anybody have the correct part nr for the fuel filter (280 1969); my regular parts supplier keeps sending me one with parts nr A 000 092 54 05 (made by Hengst).
This does not fit; when I took the original one out it had a number like this: A 000 092 2?7? 05 (made by Knecht).
I am not certain about the "27" !
Of course I forgot to write this down and would now rather not remove it again just to find the correct nr to reorder.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
The online K&K Catalogue shows this number 000-477-64-15

You can see it at http://www.kkmfg.com/

They use corect MB numbers.

I think it is a kit including a new seal.

Hello rwaw,
Two manufacturer numbers for the fuel filter are Knecht #EK402 (Austria) and Mann #P707 (Germany). The rubber o-ring seal is usually not included with the filter.  If you use a new seal it may keep falling out of the groove, you can use some chasis grease to hold it in place while the canister and filter is installed.

Raoul,
The merc part # is 000 477 6415 which is the same as Mann P707 paper element filter.
