Here is one for you guys over there. $79000!!. Does this make you feel better about the dollar rate now? This car is about 7/10. A nice driver but so expensive!

I still can't understand why pagodas ( should I say like most classic cars...?) tend to be so overpriced in the UK!
In France, €25000 seems to be the "upper-average" market price for a good condition 280SL.

I think it might have something to do with the lack of right hand drive cars. I would assume some of these are entering the Japanese market as well.

An initial lack of cars, followed by the wonderful English weather taking its toll along with heavily salted roads, means anything that is the slightest bit decent, which is not much in the UK market, demands a high price. Interestingly I also feel that in comparison to other European countries the cars also seem expensive in Germany and I cannot see any logical reason for that?

This car is on Ebay closing in two days and being sold as a #1 car. Have a doc file of needed repair if anyone on this forum is considering this car. Seller says these issues have been corrected and is nice but needs to be seen.

Well, that is a lovely car, isn't it? And, the photo setting conjures up lots of pleasant thoughts.
