silly wiring question coil connections
« on: July 24, 2007, 20:08:13 »
so, while my car is giving me a hard time , i am going over everything.

so, I need to verify to connection to my coil.  I did not find any answers in in the search engine, nor the schematics I have.

currently, the plus terminal is connected to the ballast in and the negative is connected to the condenser on the distro.

is this correct

layout
12 v in, to ballast in, ballast out to plus terminal of coil
negative terminal of coil to condenser.

silly question but I needed to confirm

Matt, I just looked. Mine goes like this. One side of ballast has the lead from the main harness, the other side of ballast goes to positive side of coil. This is where the noise supressor in hooked as well. Then, from the negative side of coil, a wire runs to the distributor. Hope this helps.
