FYI: Extremely Well-Done Sales Effort

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Those of you with the most pristine of W113's, (Type 230SL-250SL-280SL) that might seek to enjoy a mutually agreeable transfer to a new steward* of the highest dollar amount, should take a short sojourn to this locale:

*note that we don't actually own these cars, we simply are allowed, for a sum, to play host for their care between the previous and next hosts.  As host you are allowed full enjoyment of the vehicle but are expected to leave it in better condition than when you received it.

OK--back to reality folks.  I got a hard-copy solitication for this car in the mail the other day.  While I'm not looking for a 220S Cabrio presently, nor am I looking to spend $110K on anything at the moment, I was extremely impressed with this level of sales effort and thought I would share.  Did anyone else receive this?

Thanks for sharing that, it's enough to give this pagoda driver a bit of ponton envy.

Couple of thoughts:  Can you imagine that gear mechanism detailed in the pictures of the seat recliner passing today's safety insepectors?  Looks like a sure-fire way to lose a finger.

Secondly, are the door lock levers and eschuteons (?sp) the same as on pagodas?  They sure look the same, and I have been trying to find some nice ones, this may open my search to include ponton hardware?

I think the door lock stuff was the same for the 111 bodies, also.

Ralph Lauren ought to purchase this car and put it in his New York or Beverly Hills store.  The interior leather and wood alone are worth more than many of today's cheaper cars.
