I think there might be a possibility that this same ash tray was used in the 600 Pulman Limo, but less than 500 of these cars were built so I dont think this will make finding one any easier

Paulr,
Since you live in Europe - at least nominally  :)  - you might be able to find a European W108/109 or W116 that was delivered with the mobile telephone option. I don't know whether this option was available in the USA.
Take a look:

Good luck!

Paul,

They're available new, but only in black. If you need another color, you have to either re-dye the vinyl insert or replace it by dismantling it. (I recommend the former.)

Personally, I wouldn't look for a used one if your interior is as nice as I think it is. Most used examples aren't too pretty, not to mention sooty and ash-covered for some odd reason....

I wish those were my cars but I "borrowed" the pics from a posting to the same question on our sister forum (pagodentreff.de).

thanks Naj,

I found one at Adsit for $69 plus $50* postage ( bl**dy outrageous ) however, cheaper than the one on EBAY and actually EBAY gets on my nerves, all that sniping etc.

but really, thanks again.
