Alternatively, find it all yourself in our manual...

Actually, I got mine in 2 hours 59 minutes. Let see if that is beat.

I did this 4 years ago via the fax system, and you had to translate yourself.  They must have set up a relational database.

The coll part is engine, trans, etc. #s.

It says mine has no radio; and it has a becker, with inner amp under dash.  Must have been dealer install.

My car listed with "040" upper paint work as "Black" with lower paint work the color it is now Red ( 576).

Do I understand this as my hard top was black from the factory ?

Yes, Ed. It means you had a black hardtop and matching wheel covers originally. (IMHO, a handsome color combo.)

You may want to check the aufbau # on your hardtop just to see if it's original. There should be a number on the passenger side corner. Remove the hardtop, look closely and you'll find it. This same # should be indicated on the tonneau cover, hood and on the body-colored cover that rests underneath the transmission.

Your response is much appreciated.
Hard top currently painted red ( 576 )
Not sure if it is the original top, but I will check based on your input.

I think I will return it to the original black along with the hubcaps.

Posted last week that I picked up 5 Bundt alloys and tires for the incredible price of $41.00.
Having the tires taken off and trashed and will get the alloys powder coated.
For the price I couldn't resist...!!!
