Engine Puller Bracket

Hello All,

Is anyone familar with the brackets used to pull the engine that is shown in the attached picture?  Are these purchased (if yes, source?) or are they "home made"?

Does anyone know that diameter of the headbolts (threaded diameter) so that I could have 4 of these brackets made correctly?

Unless you are removing the head I don't recommend using the head bolts. I would hate to cause a leak by pulling the 4 headbolts and putting them back in.

If your car is an automatic I would pull the neutral safety switch from the fire wall.

I also remember having some difficulty with the throttle linkage where it crosses behind the engine.

Be carefull where the coolant temp gauge attaches to the head it isn't a wire(it looks like a fat wire wrapped by a spiral wire) it is a copper capillary tube. If you break it you buy it.

when I pulled my motor, I had the same leveler but instead of bolting the chains to motor, I used 4 ratcheting straps, (2 front, 2 rear) connected to the chain and looped around the motor on front and rear.
