When I worked on these cars I would save take off parts from sl's that were still useable and some that weren't for pieces I may need later and have some other parts that I have no idea where or how I got them.
Including:
dozens of injector nozzles, fuel accumulator, late style fuel pump, a box of broken combi switches both early and late, electrical swithces, relays and vacuuim controlls many for applications that I don't remember, door latches and strikers, broken window regulators, a gallon bucket full of window guides, tail light back plates (no lenses) 3 left side door sill trim strips, 5-14" wheel trim rings, hard top window seals, 6-soft top foam strips for over the door windows, 3-distributors, about a dozen old horns(none that match each other)rear brake drums some are aluminum, keys and lock tumblers, Kangol seat belts, 2 Becker Mexico radios, a Km/h speedo(SEC?), and metric instrument pod, rocker arms, valve train pieces, motor antennas, a right hand door mirror (early style), glove box light, and an extra thermo king evaporator unit. and more that I havnt sorted through yet.
