Cold Start Valve

I have the CSV on my 1970 280SL apart for cleaning.  I need a couple of gaskets before I can re-assemble.  It's kind of interesting how it works, seeing it apart certainly helps one figure this out.  I've taken some pictures of the various pieces and I have a pretty good idea where some potential leakes might occur.  Joe Alexander and Tom Sargeant have certainly been a great source of information about trouble shooting this device.  Mine is working properly so I'm off the the next link in the cold start circuit.  If anyone has questions or would like pictures and an explanation of how the various pieces work please let me know.  Email me at lax882@aol.com

Jeff - are you referring to the cold start thermostat set-up that sits on top of the Fuel Injection pump, or the cold start injector valve that is mounted to the side of the intake manifold? Reason I ask is I can't see that there can be much to clean and troubleshoot on the latter one - and I think that one is most commonly referred to as the CSV. If I am correct, the intake valve has two seals, one small (and expensive) one for the solenoid, and one larger one to seal off the assembly to the intake manifold.
