Need Source for Correct Air Intake Hose Clamp
« on: March 05, 2008, 14:21:07 »
Hello,

I just received all of my Norma clamps from Pete Lester.  Additionally, I obtained the Beru wind clamps and the large expansion tank clamps from the MB dealer.  The only ones left I need are the large intake hose clamps (2 each) between the air filter and venturi.  The original part number N900269 085100 rolled to N916026 080000. Both are NLA!  The Mercedes EPC rolls to a "loom tie" which is plastic.  I want the original style clamp.  Kevin at Miller's had a 100mm clamp but it was the worm type.

Does anyone have a source for original style?  If I have to, I will have mine replated (or dipped).  Thanks for your help.

Best Regards,

MB has the clamps.  I bought some last summer along with new OE intake hose.  They are made in Germany for MB by GEMI and are ss.  Part number stamped on clamps along with MB Star and ring is N15003.  They are as the originals nut and bolt.  If you need further info about these clamps, I will try to find my invoice for total parts number.

Robert's part number below is the Gemi part number.  The MB part number is: 120-995-04-01.  This is a Gemi clamp with the MB star.

They listed just under $6 each from the dealer.  Wholesale obviously would be cheaper.
