Deutsche Marque Concours 2004
« on: July 17, 2004, 19:45:08 »
Several pics from today's Deutch Mark Concours at Avanel TPC in Potomac MD (USA). I worked hard all week to get my 280SL ready but I could not finish assembling the dash. Fortunately my father-in-law offered his very sharp 230SL for the drive down! Forgive me for including some non-W113 pics.
Overview of about 200 cars, of which maybe 60 M-B and a dozen W113's.

The winning W113 was a 280SL with about 25,000 original miles, looking brand new in every respect.

A 280SL exactly like mine (once I get the dash assembled), same color scheme too:

Some speedsters (yes, Porsches, but the second one down has a Nardi wood steering wheel exactly like my 280SL).

A gullwing plus a pair 300SL roadster's

Would that have been the silver 230SL automatic with Italian turn signal repeaters on the front fenders?
