Beautiful car! Must be tricky driving with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side:-) Put my HT back on today after one last topdown excursion. Enjoy your drives  and thanks for posting the photos.

Nice photo’s Treedoc, I’d also be keen to see some photos of your hardtop hoist.  I’ve just installed one myself using a hand operated winch, a single roof bar and some nice yacht fittings (pulleys, rope etc).  I hoist the hardtop from a roof beam and then once hoisted, as an additional precaution, I also rig up some rope safety lines in case something fails.  The process is relatively quick and simple and this weekend I’m fine tuning my safety lines and installing some jamb cleats to make things neater and quicker.
I’m happy to lift the hardtop on the basis of a fair/sunny day as opposed to summer Vs winter – even in Melbourne (Australia) we have some beautiful sunny winter days.  Mind you we’ve recently had some pretty awful summer days where the hail has been so large there has been significant amounts of hail damage to cars (luckily none of mine).
Gary
PS I don’t see any of the familiar kite surfers in the background of your photos.  The last couple of times we’ve been up to Noosa we have thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
PPS I agree with John’s comments about LHD in a RHD country.

John,
Only problem I find with having the steering wheel on the wrong side is that I always seem to want to get into the car on the right hand side. Only real problem is that SWMBO freaks out when we approch on coming traffic.

Gary,
I made a couple of inital mistakes with the installation, firstly I did not allow enough rope to lower the hardtop down to ground level so will need to fit a longer length, secondly I did not install the single pulley above the winch in line with the centre of the winch drum, causing the rope to bunch up on one side, repositiong the pulley solved the problem the rope now goes on in orderly layers.
Ive also fitted a back stay that hooks  onto the top to stop it swinging around in a breeze.
