DOOR HANDLES hole/no hole?
«

See following pixs, I am getting ready for paint and notice one side has an odd shaped hole where the non-lock part of the handle fits. On the other side it is filled in. Which is correct? Am I missing a piece if I am suppose to have a hole in the door what does that end attach to? Just the door? Or is there some other piece? I have gaskets but they are flat. Could someone shead some light.

A hole is required to secure the front bolt of the lock handle. The hole is not round. Its hard to describe the shape of the hole. It is designed so that the bolt head on the handle end can be inserted into a larger hole and then slid forward into a smaller hole to lock it in place.

If it is like the 111s---2 rubber gaskets, 2 bolts. The front bolt is tightened in the slotted hole and slid to the rear of the car. The rear bolt(allen head) in rear of the door pulls the handle to the rear also.
