I started this new thread to pass along some Fire Extinguisher (FE)  info that may or may not be useful.

My FE is now secured and mounted just in front of the left front  seat.

The Kidde FE (and maybe others) comes with a plastic mounting bracket. The bracket has at least one and maybe a couple of holes.

I removed the front screw from the small metal bracket that sits in the center between the two seat rails. I put the screw through the center hole of the plastic FE bracket then tightened it to the metal floor bracket.

Put the FE back into its plastic mounting bracket (now fixed to the floor bracket) and closed the retaining belt that goes around the FE. I rotated the FE so the dial and spout were in the best position.

The FE seems secure, within instant reach, the seat slides forward and back OK. Here are some poor photos to show the result.

Richard,

Nice job.  Any pictures of the brackets?  I have a bracket of some sort under the front of my driver's seat.

I used Mike Salemi's as an example and placed my halon unit behind the drvers seat.
