Lucky he had the hardtop on! Think about how your softtop would have held up. It looks as if the hardtop was flung off only after the windshield was collapsed and the body flopped over. The leverage on the two latches must have been huge. It's a testament to the strength of the top that it stayed in tact.
You can tell the driver was hauling butt when he came around the corner. I once slid an Acura coupe on the roof at about 50 mph on a wet road and didn't go nearly that far. I guess this was downhill?
