wires to power antenna
« on: July 29, 2008, 09:46:27 »
I am replacing my 2 ton original Hirschmann power antenna with hirschmann 2040 replacement.  There is a huge plug that plugs into the antenna(old) so I cut the cord and there are 3 wires inside.  A black that I traced to the engine compartment that is a ground and screwed to the firewall.  There are 2 other wires that seem to go to the 2 fuses that are located by the cooling overflow tank.  Which is which and what do they power, because they look as thought the white one also is in series and connects to something else by the glove compartment.

Thank, Bob

Bob,
on my car one fuse is for the power to the radio and the other can be used for the antenna.
Take a look at this topic perhaps the answer is there.
