I'm expecting my pagoda to arrive in July which I purchased from Jim. In Dubai its touching the mid 40 and can go upto 50 degrees, Do I need to install an extra fan or will this be OK?

My car is a 71 280 sl

Hi shaf.
I've read many things on this forum about overheating. What I can say is that my temp never rises over 90°C, whatever the outside conditions may be.But of course, I'm living in northern Europe, not in the middle of a desert :D .There are many posts dealing with overheating issues and how to cure them http://http://index.php?topic=5944http://

And isn't it funny that my '69 Pagoda, built for the American market, shows the engine temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and the oil pressure in pounds per square inch, but my '95 E320, also built for the American market, shows degree Celsius and bar? In both cases, I have the data sheet that shows "build for US with English instrumentation"

Shaf, I think your bigger challenge will be getting the aircon to work/cope ;)
I had a 1989 911 when I lived there and even though that had 20 years more aircon development it was worse than useless in the heat and humidity.
I had to keep a change of shirt in the office as I was soaked through by the time I got to work.

Hi Shaf

I live in Dubai. The car functions well in the temperatures here but the airconditioning is not effective during daytime. I tend to use the car sparingly during the summer months.
