230 SL Frame Rust

HI Folks,
I tried to search for some discussion of frame rust on a 230-280 SL and how to repair, but found none.
Does anyone have information or a referral to a source of this info?
I have a 1964 230SL (euro) and noticed after I bought it years ago, that the driver's side frame next to the rear wheel is rusted out.
Do they make re[placement parts?

Basically every panel on the bottom of the car is available from Mercedes. K&K Manufacturing also makes a repair panel for the rear rail where your problem is.

I would strongly suggest you search "Rust" on this forum and learn where to look for other rusty areas of the vehicle so you don't start the repairs only to open a can of worms.

The big one is up in the front wheel wells on top of the reinforcing upper rail. To replace this you need to remove the welded on front fenders etc.

Hopefully you can make a rational judgement rather han an emotional one like the one I made $20,000 ago.
