Well, thanks guys...Worked! Got the starter off, tested good, and now I'm tracing wires from the starter to alternator to stering wheel lock to ignition. The problem wasn't the starter, but lack of power TO the starter via the above circuitous route. MMMMM, boy, I'm having some fun now....Close examination of the wiring in this old and previously abused/neglected machine is not a pretty picture. Old and frayed OEM wires, poor maintainence and cobbled together band-aids over the years indicate I should just slow down, and re-wire the car. I can do it wire by wire or try to find a new OEM or quality after market complete wiring harness. Any opinions on that route? Thanks, Steve.
