Coffee table book and Possel Restoration?
« on: September 30, 2008, 15:32:39 »
I haven't seen anything for a while on the pagoda coffee table book or the Bob Possel restoration?

Did I miss something or were new threads started somewhere?

Dosen't look like there have been posts on the original book thread since June and none on Bob's restore thread since mid August, just curious... hope all is well.

Mike has spent quite a bit of effort on the coffee table book idea and is dealing directly with the particpants, I don't think its really an issue for the public forum.  Perhaps it may return if it becomes commercialy available at a later date.

Hi Mark,

All is well.  I have been driving my 280sl and now have 400 miles on the rebuilt engine and finished body.  The 280sl will be in its 1st car show this Saturday.  Hopefully I will place...

I havent posted the final pictures, but will soon.  Have just been tied up with the job and family.

Mike is working on the book and is indeed contacting us directly.  I sent him my pictures just last week.  Thanks Mike!

Mark, thanks for asking!
Regards,
Bob  :)

Thanks for the info Bob,

Glad to hear you finished and the car is back on the road. Good luck in the show, I'm sure you will take 1st place.

Peter is quite right.  Communication has been through those indicating participation.  However, expect another thread and post once I settle a few things out with production.

Makes sense and sounds like the right way to go. I was just curious if it was still ongoing.  Good luck
