Starfest on TI in SF
« on: October 18, 2008, 08:47:34 »
I said I would post these several weeks ago.  Finally got around to it.  These are all from Starfest on Treasure Island in San Francisco bay.  My 12 year old son Grant took them - he knows as little as I do about taking great pics, but the cars are pretty none the less.

Nice shots... congratulate your son on his photography (except for one fuzzy one  ;) ) and you on your car.

Front view is #343 - I will have to rely on our learned members to identify the car.  I'll check to see if he got any more and post if I find them.

That's a 300 SC.  Same era as the Gullwing and same engine!

Here's another one from one of our First Sunday Drives.

Is that Craig Lemster's 190 SL?  Good to see he's out enjoying it, if it is.

I know his name is Craig, so I'd bet it's the same one.  He has a shop in McKinleyville in far northern California.  This picture was from a drive a few years ago from Healdsburg to Philo.  He also drove down this summer for the Palo Alto Concours.  It's a beautiful car, and I give him points for driving and enjoying it.

That's him!  Slim Wheatley did the original restoration and Craig improved it further.
