When I checked Naj's shopping list prior to ordering, I found what I think is a typo.  The bushings for the shifter ball should be 111 267 (not 268) 00 86, according to the EPC.  The Item Number is 258.

Thanks for pointing out the error, Chuck.

I have corrected it on the wiki.
I guess you found the post in one of the discussions?

Actually, it came up in a Search.

BTW, I pulled the shifter out last night and the ball's bushings came out in largely unrecognizable pieces.  All of the pieces were available from the dealer overnight except for the wavy washer, which is coming from Germany.  Joe's method for removing the shifter knob worked, but it took a fair amount of bashing to get it off.

Thanks to all for a very helpful thread!

Just to close the loop, Chad stated earlier that he couldn't locate the 7mm-1 "nyloc" nuts used in a couple of places.  I needed one as well and found an acceptable lock nut at Home Despot.  They had an assortment of these nuts from 4mm to 8mm.
